A decade ago, Michael Makras partnered with Brisbane’s celebrated architects Richards & Spence to bring his first store, Optiko, to life on James Street. Their artful, minimalist design instantly became a defining feature of the precinct. After growing and ultimately selling Optiko, Mike has now returned to that very same space — this time under a new name — and once again enlisted Richards & Spence to reimagine its artful, minimalist interior.
